DALMATIAN PELICAN
As a Creature Artist, I developed a realistic Dalmatian pelican asset currently featured in my reel (work in progress), focusing on look development, grooming, and rig integration. The bird was fully groomed using XGen and Yeti to achieve a natural feather structure and believable layering across the body. I designed and implemented a procedural workflow in Yeti to generate high-quality feather textures, including the creation of normal and ambient occlusion maps to enhance surface detail and shading. In addition, I modified an Advanced Skeleton rig to support the creature setup and integrated a working feather card simulation system, allowing the feathers to respond naturally during motion. The project emphasizes both technical pipeline development and realistic creature presentation for cinematic use.
